The vibrant citrus, tropical fruit, and berry-like complexity of this coffee is the result of incredible dedication at the farm level.
La Mandarina is a family-run farm, but during harvest season, they rely on the help of pickers to ensure that cherries are picked at the peak of ripeness. Handpicking begins early in the morning, and cherries are immediately floated in water. Overripe or defective cherries are less dense and float to the surface—these are removed at this stage to ensure quality.
